Terms and Conditions for Direct Debit Suspensions
1. General Policy on Direct Debit Suspensions
1.1. Direct debit payments for JKS Glasgow are a continuous payment arrangement that remains active unless formally suspended or cancelled according to the terms outlined in this agreement.
1.2. Members are not permitted to suspend direct debit payments due to holidays, travel, or the temporary cancellation of classes/events by the provider. Regular payments must continue as scheduled.
2. Class/Event Cancellations and Make-Up Sessions
2.1. If a class or event is cancelled by JKS Glasgow due to unforeseen circumstances, members are entitled to attend a make-up class or session at a time that is convenient.
2.2. Members are responsible for scheduling and attending make-up classes. Unused make-up sessions will not roll over to the next period and cannot be exchanged for a reduction in fees or refunds.
3. Suspension Requests
3.1. Members may request a suspension of their direct debit payments only under specific circumstances, such as extended illness or injury, which prevent them from participating in activities for an extended period (e.g., four weeks or more).
3.2. All suspension requests must be submitted in writing at least 14 days before the desired suspension start date and are subject to approval by JKS Glasgow.
4. Cancellation of Membership
4.1. Members wishing to cancel their membership must provide a minimum of 30 days' email notice. The notice period begins on the date the written cancellation request is received by JKS Glasgow.
4.2. Direct debit payments will continue during the 30-day notice period, and the member may continue to use the services during this time.
4.3. Failure to provide 30 days' notice will result in the member being liable for any outstanding fees due during the notice period.
5. Final Provisions
5.1. JKS Glasgow reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Members will be notified of any changes in writing at least 30 days in advance.
5.2. By continuing to use the services provided by JKS Glasgow, members agree to be bound by the latest version of these Terms and Conditions.
